Thank you for being who you are

I LOVE surrounding myself with POSITIVE people-- People who actually CARE about the future, who KNOW that we are CREATING it in the PRESENT, people who UNDERSTAND that there's a "time for everything," and that the clock, no matter how many ways we attempt to BEFRIEND it, will never reach reach its hands back to shake ours, because it's always moving forward, and there's nothing we can do about it, people who know that there are greater things in life than the trivial, people who are INTELLIGENT enough to know what's IMPOSSIBLE but still believe in MIRACLES, people who can make GENUINE CONNECTIONS through the wildest complexities, who find opportunities to learn & explore through life's PERPLEXITIES. People who are OPEN-MINDED, yet HEADSTRONG. People who understand the subjective nature of "right" and "wrong." People who challenge me, who INSPIRE me to raise the bar. When I MEET people like that, In my mind, I think, "YESSS! THANK YOU for being who you are!" -Sharon Grose

Poem

What if a single rose was the cure for cancer? What if the "SECRET OF LIFE" was a QUESTION instead of an ANSWER? What if we searched our whole lives for that one thing RARE, only to find it was an ILLUSION when we got there? What is there to fear when we take our last breath.... death after life, or life after death? Deeply consoled with shallow yearns...with holes in our pockets daily losing what we've already earned...and thus, we question, our minds incomplete, and our "fearless" nights marked with stars foretelling our defeat. It is there that we find our greatest inspiration...unorthodox Revelation.  -Sharon Grose

Picture Perfect

I never paint a "perfect picture." I paint with my hands gripped on reality, my eyes fixed on the world around me...an imperfect sphere of spontaneity, downfalls, &uprisings, which ultimately fade with the passing of time yet NEVER becoming non-existent, and change, with its fixation of fate, as an iceberg standing "perfectly" static in dynamic waters.  -Sharon Grose
